In Bukhara, an excavator ran over a woman crossing the road at an undesignated area. A video depicting the incident spread across social media.
According to the press service of the regional Department of Internal Affairs, as reported, the incident took place on May 15 in front of the central market on a road in the city of Bukhara. During the conducted urgent investigative actions, it was found that on that day, a person named H.I., driving an excavator along Ibn Sino street, ran over a 64-year-old woman crossing the road from the market without noticing her. As a result, the woman died at the scene.
In this case, a criminal case has been initiated under part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code (violation of traffic safety rules or the use of vehicles resulting in human death), and preliminary investigations are being conducted.
The Department of Internal Affairs of Bukhara region calls on citizens to be cautious on the roads and to adhere to the rules.
