German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius considers it a practical and feasible goal for NATO member states to increase their military spending to more than 3% of GDP.

"It is very important that NATO goals must be achieved quickly, fully, and in a timely manner," he told reporters.

Earlier, German Foreign Minister Johann Vadeful, after talks with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, stated that Berlin is also ready to consider Donald Trump's demand to increase military spending on NATO members by up to 5%.
