On May 14, an unusual and noteworthy event occurred in the Italian parliament, reports zamon.uz.

Deputy Ricardo Magi entered the parliament chamber dressed in a ghost costume with a sheet over his head, attempting to scare Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

The incident took place while Prime Minister Meloni was answering questions from parliament members. Magi, secretary of the opposition party "Europa+", draped a white sheet over his head, presenting himself as a ghost, headed towards the rostrum, and began to pour criticism on Meloni.

Magi focused on the referendum scheduled for June 8-9. This referendum will discuss five issues related to citizenship and labor laws. Magi criticized Meloni for having been silent about the referendum in 2016 when she was in opposition.

Magi currently expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that this situation is being repeated, and the present authorities are recommending not to go to the polling stations, performing this in protest. Consequently, Magi was expelled from the parliament chamber. As he was being taken out, Prime Minister Meloni watched the event with a smile on her face and recorded the "ghost" deputy on her phone.

As a reminder, previously, a verbal altercation between the speaker and an opposition deputy in the Armenian parliament eventually turned into a brawl. To resolve the conflict, State Security Service personnel were allowed into the hall, and the speaker announced a 20-minute break.
