Today, May 13, the first pilgrims of the 2025 Hajj season departed from Tashkent International Airport to the holy land of Saudi Arabia. The press service of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan announced that the first group of Uzbek pilgrims has thus begun their blessed Hajj journey.
The farewell ceremony for the pilgrims was held in a solemn atmosphere. The event was attended by the Chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, Mufti Sheikh Nuriddin Kholiqnazar, the Committee on Religious Affairs, prominent scholars, imam-khatibs, representatives of responsible organizations, and mass media workers.
The Mufti made blessed prayers before the pilgrims' journey and wished for our compatriots heading towards Allah's house to complete their Hajj rituals safely and return home in good health.
This event officially marked the start of the "Hajj - 2025" season. Our compatriots who embarked on the Hajj journey flew to Saudi Arabia with deep excitement and hope in their hearts.
