On May 12, 2025, military operation leaders of India and Pakistan conducted a conversation via telephone. This conversation was held for the first time after severe confrontations between the two nuclear states took place.

The dialogue occurred following a ceasefire agreement reached on May 10 through the mediation of the USA. Until this agreement, clashes involving drones and other weapons lasted for four days, resulting in dozens of casualties. India accused Pakistan of a terrorist attack in Kashmir, which Pakistan denied.

During the dialogue, military leaders discussed adherence to the ceasefire agreement and the reduction of tensions. This dialogue is considered an important step towards stabilizing relations between the two countries.

Such dialogues between military leaders are said to be crucial for strengthening trust and preventing future conflicts between the two states.
