A solemn ceremony dedicated to the signing of the agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and UNESCO took place at UNESCO's headquarters in Paris. Saida Mirziyoyeva reported this.
Samarkand has now officially been designated as the venue for the 43rd session of the General Conference.
- This is a great honor and responsibility for us, as the conference has not been held outside of Paris for the last 40 years.
This is the result of the arduous work of the creative industry, people's diplomacy, and the highest level of agreements. It indicates the global community's great interest in our country's openness, unique traditions, and cultural heritage, rich history, music, and literature.
