Through social networks, “Salmon Lazzat” LLC has placed an advertisement without the necessary documentation advertisement and menu information presented in a foreign language, leading to a critical inquiry. The Competition Committee provided information regarding the situation.
The Competition Committee's regional office in Samarkand region, upon reviewing this inquiry, discovered that “Salmon Lazzat” LLC had distributed advertisements in violation of Article 26 of the Republic of Uzbekistan's “About Advertising” Law by not having an advertising passport and also violated the requirements of Article 6 of the “Consumer Rights Protection” Law by not providing information in the state language on the public catering establishment's menu.
Therefore, the regional office's Special Commission examined the case against “Salmon Lazzat” LLC concerning the violations of the “Consumer Rights Protection” and “About Advertising” Laws as well as the requirements approved by the Cabinet of Ministers' Decision No. 75 “Rules for Producing and Selling Public Catering Products (Services) in the Republic of Uzbekistan” and issued a compulsory instruction to remedy the violations and applied a financial penalty.
