Built in 1972, Family Polyclinic No. 21 in the "Bahrin" neighborhood of Urgut district is the only medical facility for 16 rural settlements — over 13,000 people. Since its construction, i.e., for more than half a century, the building has not undergone major repairs.
Doctors received patients in rooms with damp walls, dim windows, and leaky roofs. Thousands of people were served in these dilapidated conditions, because they had no other choice. In December 2025, the head of the Presidential Administration, Saida Mirziyoyeva, personally visited and inspected this situation.
As a result of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's special attention to the healthcare system, this facility has now been completely reconstructed, an additional building has been constructed, and a new maternity ward with 20 beds has been established. The population can now receive medical services in modern, bright, and comfortable conditions.
This is a practical demonstration that the President's reforms are reaching even remote areas that have been neglected for years. The new polyclinic in the "Bahrin" neighborhood may not be a large building, but behind it lies a very significant meaning: the state leadership sees, hears, and cares for the health of every person, regardless of where they live.
