The main directions of cooperation in the field of environmental protection, sustainable development, and combating climate issues were considered.
It was noted that mutual cooperation, including in the preparation of national environmental reports, improving the environmental monitoring system, and strengthening institutional capacity, is developing consistently.
The Executive Director highly evaluated the national projects being implemented in Uzbekistan, such as "Green Space," "Biomeros," "Clean Air," "Waste-Free Territory," and "Eco-culture." Their importance in ensuring environmental sustainability and improving the population's quality of life was noted.
Inger Andersen also expressed readiness to expand practical partnership to implement the initiatives put forward by the President of Uzbekistan at today's summit.
