Rescue operations have concluded following the incident in the Fatih district.

On March 22, two residential buildings collapsed in the Fatih district in central Istanbul. According to Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi, search and rescue operations at the buildings that exploded due to a gas leak have been completed.

11 citizens trapped under the rubble were found, 1 person died, and 10 citizens were injured. Medical services for the injured are ongoing.

Due to the incident, iron pieces struck the windows of neighboring houses. An investigation has been launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, and the incident is being examined from all aspects.
