According to Law No. 1121 adopted on March 11, citizens who have illegally connected to public electricity, heating, and gas networks or violated the rules of their use will be fined from 15 to 20 times the BHM. For officials, the fine amount is set from 25 to 30 times the BHM.
Persons who have arbitrarily connected to networks for commercial purposes may be punished with a fine from 15 to 25 times the BHM or administrative detention for up to 15 days.
Furthermore, criminal liability has been established for persons who commit such offenses again even after administrative punishment has been applied. In such cases, a fine from 30 to 75 times the BHM, compulsory community service for up to 240 hours, or corrective labor for up to one year may be applied.
The law enters into force three months after the official date of its publication.
