The National Statistics Committee calculated the average costs required to prepare 1 kilogram of pilaf in the territories of Uzbekistan as of February 2026.

According to the data, the most expensive pilaf is in Tashkent city, with its average preparation cost amounting to 118,381 soums. In Fergana region, it is estimated at around 116,256 soums, and in Samarkand region, at approximately 114,383 soums.

The cheapest indicator was recorded in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, where an average of 98,927 soums is required to prepare 1 kilogram of pilaf. In Syrdarya region, it amounted to 105,337 soums, and in Andijan region, to 106,984 soums.

According to calculations, to prepare 1 kilogram of pilaf, 0.3 liters of sunflower oil, 300 grams of onions, 700 grams of beef, 1 kilogram of carrots, 1 kilogram of rice, 100 grams of chickpeas, 10 grams of cumin, and 20 grams of rock salt are used.

The committee emphasized that these calculations are based solely on the cost of products necessary for preparing pilaf and do not reflect the price of ready-made pilaf sold in the regions.
