Compared to yesterday:
— the dollar fell by 30.05 soums to 12,179.81 soums;
— the euro fell by 31.22 soums to 14,139.54 soums;
— the ruble fell by 0.80 soums to 156.73 soums.
Previously, the dollar exchange rate had risen for three consecutive days, reaching 12,209.86 soums.
Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank Nodirbek Ochilov had stated that a floating exchange rate regime is in effect in Uzbekistan.
He particularly emphasized that the exchange rate is formed on the currency exchange and warned entrepreneurs not to believe claims that the rate is set by the regulator.
