On February 17, an attack was organized on a checkpoint located in the Bajaur district of Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. This was reported by The Hindu publication.

It is reported that as a result of the incident, 11 security personnel and one child were killed. Seven more people, including women and children, were injured to varying degrees.

According to information from the Inter-Services Public Relations department of the Pakistan Army, the attack was carried out using an explosive device installed in a vehicle. The vehicle, loaded with explosives, crashed into the checkpoint wall, causing a powerful explosion.

It is noted that the attack was carried out by members of the Pakistani Taliban movement. During the response operation by security forces, 12 attackers were neutralized.

Asif Ali Zardari strongly condemned the attack and expressed condolences to the families of the deceased. Similarly, Shehbaz Sharif also made a statement, emphasizing that the fight against terrorism remains the state's top priority.
