Turkey's "Fenerbahçe" club announced that it could not transfer world champion N'Golo Kanté due to errors in the documents by Saudi Arabia's "Al-Ittihad" club.
According to the club's statement, the transfer was not completed because "Fenerbahçe" processed the documents correctly, but the representatives of "Al-Ittihad" entered incorrect information.
The Turkish side negotiated with FIFA and requested an extension of the transfer deadline, but an agreement was not reached.
Kanté, meanwhile, has been playing for "Al-Ittihad" since 2023 and is a World Champion and a winner of European and English championships.
