Last year, the number of tourists who visited Uzbekistan amounted to 11.5 million, and tourism exports reached 4.7 billion dollars. The goal is to increase the flow of tourists to 20 million by 2030.
For this, it is necessary for ambassadors to work with the Tourism Committee on the basis of a new initiative and to attract major outsourcing companies.
Specific tasks have been set before the ambassadors of Russia, Belarus, South Korea, Germany, and the USA. This year itself, advisor positions on tourism and culture will be established in the embassies of the USA, Great Britain, Indonesia, Russia, France, and China.
A visa-free regime has been introduced for US citizens, and negotiations are being held with major companies, with the goal set to double the number of tourists coming from the USA.
