US President Donald Trump announced that the United States could continue its control over Venezuela for more than a year. This was reported by Zamon.uz reported.
According to Trump's emphasis, this control also includes crucial aspects regarding the sale of oil from Venezuela, the reduction of its prices, and the economic financing of the republic.
He stated that the US aims to "restore Venezuela's oil resources in a beneficial way" and lower global prices by selling them on the market, and plans to support the Venezuelan economy with the revenues from oil. Trump noted that cooperation with the interim government is continuing successfully.
The president also expressed that US officials are implementing the issue of establishing control over Venezuela's oil production and sales through negotiations with other countries and aim to positively influence the stability of the oil market in this process.
