At least 100 people were killed as a result of an attack organized by the United States in Venezuela. Reuters reported this based on a statement by the country's Minister of Internal Affairs, Diosdado Cabello.

According to the minister, the majority of the victims were young people. He described the attack as "treacherous" and emphasized that those killed were peaceful civilians who had no connection to the incident.

Cabello also reported that President Nicolas Maduro was shot in the foot during his capture, and First Lady Cilia Flores was wounded in the head. CNN also reported that during the court hearing, Flores was seen with her head bandaged, and Maduro was observed having difficulty moving.

U.S. officials, however, stated that approximately 75 people were killed during the operation in Caracas. It was noted that among them were civilians, representatives of Venezuelan and Cuban security forces. Additionally, several American military personnel were wounded.

Venezuelan officials have labeled the U.S. operation "Absolute Firmness" as a military aggression. Earlier, a week of mourning was declared in the country in memory of the military personnel killed as a result of these events.
