A sentence was read in court to an Uzbek who worked as a paramedic at a Russian military hospital.

A Samarkand man who served as a medic for two years in a military hospital within the Russian Armed Forces was tried in Uzbekistan and sentenced to 4 years of restricted freedom.

According to court documents, this case was considered on December 24, 2025, in the Payariq District Court for Criminal Cases. S.B. fully confessed to the charges in court. He stated that on May 1, 2023, he went to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Russia, in search of work and initially worked as a paramedic in a private clinic.

Later, through acquaintances, he received information that paramedics were being recruited for the Russian Armed Forces, that foreign citizens were also being hired, and that the monthly salary was 210 thousand rubles. After that, he submitted an application for military service and received an assignment to go to the city of Belgrade.

After an interview, S.B. was hired by military unit No. 11740 and worked as a paramedic in a military hospital for two years. During his service, he was granted Russian citizenship, a military ID, and a military token.

Upon learning in July 2025 that a criminal case had been initiated against him in Uzbekistan, he went on leave on October 8, realized the illegality of his actions, and returned to Uzbekistan to face punishment. It became known that he destroyed the documents issued by Russia before returning.

According to the court verdict, S.B. was found guilty under Part 2 of Article 154-1 of the Criminal Code and sentenced to 4 years of restricted freedom.
