According to the information from the Tashkent Regional DIA, during rapid search operations, individuals engaged in fraud were identified, having created fake channels and groups on Telegram and Instagram under the names "Musodara tovarlar" and "Optom sklad." They introduced themselves as system employees, acting on behalf of the State Customs Committee.
According to preliminary investigation, 5 individuals aged 22–25, residing in Andijan region, gained the trust of nearly 60 citizens by promising to sell household appliances, gadgets, and other goods at low prices. As a result, they fraudulently obtained 117 million soums.
Regarding the situation, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 168 of the Criminal Code, and detention as a preventive measure has been applied against the suspects. Investigative actions are ongoing.
