Today, on December 30, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
At the beginning of the conversation, the head of our state strongly condemned the attempted attack on the Russian President's residence in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
It was emphasized that such actions threaten efforts aimed at achieving stability and security, including long-term peace.
From the perspective of implementing high-level agreements, issues of further developing Uzbekistan-Russia strategic partnership and allied relations were considered.
Views were also exchanged on urgent issues of international and regional importance, and a schedule of future events was discussed.
At the end of the conversation, the leaders sincerely congratulated each other on the upcoming New Year - 2026, wishing each other strong health, happiness and prosperity, and wishing the fraternal peoples of the two countries peace, tranquility and enduring progress.
