The Committee for the Development of Competition and Consumer Protection warned major retail chains about the importance of ensuring price stability for food products on the eve of the New Year.

The Committee sent instructions to retail chains such as "Korzinka", "Makro", "Havas", "Baraka", "Magnum", "Assorti", "B1", and "Magnit" to promptly inform suppliers about any price changes or logistics and other costs, and to avoid allowing unreasonable price increases.

Earlier, the committee had also warned entrepreneurs about the need to comply with the rules for conducting discounts and promotions on the eve of the New Year.
