“Central Asia + Japan” dialogue summit saw the participation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in a multilateral business forum here.

The event was also attended by Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Urgent issues of developing trade and economic cooperation between Central Asia and Japan, attracting Japanese investments and advanced technologies to the region, expanding industrial cooperation, and strengthening direct ties between business circles were considered.

Joint economic projects were presented. These include Uzbekistan-Japan investment initiatives such as the construction of two solar power plants in Uzbekistan with the assistance of JBIC and NEXI by the companies "Sumitomo", "Chubu Electric Power", "Shikoku Electric Power"; the modernization of AT infrastructure with the participation of "Toyota Tsusho"; the establishment of a multidisciplinary medical center by the "Sojitz" company; as well as the development of new critical mineral deposits with the participation of "JOGMEC".

Documents on the relevant projects were exchanged in the presence of the leaders.
