Mirziyoyev discussed issues of expanding cooperation with Japan's JOGMEC and ITOCHU.

Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the leaders of Japan's "JOGMEC" and "ITOCHU Corporation" companies and reviewed the prospects of joint projects in the fields of mining, industry, and infrastructure.

The participation of "JOGMEC" and "ITOCHU Corporation" in the development of uranium deposits in the Navoi and Kashkadarya regions was highly appreciated at the meeting.

Furthermore, plans for extracting precious metals from prospective deposits were discussed. It was noted that Uzbekistan and the "ITOCHU" corporation have many years of successful cooperation experience in the fields of mechanical engineering, geology, and infrastructure.

It was particularly emphasized that long-term agreements have been reached on the export of critically important minerals to Japan. 

The parties also focused on issues of implementing new public-private partnership projects in water purification, automotive industry, modernization of air traffic control systems, and the social sphere.
