During a rapid operation conducted in the Khojaabad district of Andijan region through the collaboration of the State Security Service and Customs Committee personnel, the illegal export of gold ingots from the country was prevented.
It is reported that T.T., a resident of Fergana region born in 1994, was detained near the "Dustlik" border customs post, and his personal bag was inspected. During the inspection, a total of 7 kg 784 grams of gold pieces hidden inside iron-plated automobile spare parts were discovered.
According to the appraisal conclusion, the total value of these gold ingots exceeds 12 billion 465 million soums. It was determined that the gold was sent from Tashkent city and was planned to be delivered covertly to an individual in Kyrgyzstan.
Regarding this incident, a criminal case has been initiated against T.T. under part 2, paragraph "a" of Article 182 of the Criminal Code, and a detention measure has been applied against him. The real owners of the gold are currently being identified.
