The master plan for the city's drainage system has been developed, and it was announced that construction work will begin next year.
"Water must circulate in the ditches of all city streets," said the head of state.
Within the program, it is planned to build 150 kilometers of closed drainage system, repair 197 kilometers of canals and collectors, construct 63 kilometers of new canals, and create a cool microclimate in the city.
17 structures to collect rainwater will be built. This water will be used for irrigating trees and green areas.
All communal organizations and emergency services of the capital were given instructions to switch to round-the-clock operation, engage in preventing and quickly eliminating accidents, and intensify work to ensure public safety.
