It is reported that a 15-year-old schoolboy named Timofey entered the school grounds with a weapon with the aim of taking revenge on a mathematics teacher.
He asked the younger students he encountered on his way about their ethnicity and then attacked them.
The class teacher locked the classroom door from the inside to protect the children.
However, a 10-year-old boy named Kobiljon was left outside. The attacker stabbed him and recorded the crime on video.
The boy died at the scene from the severe injuries he sustained. It is said that the deceased Kobiljon was the child of a Tajik woman working as a cleaner in Russia.
Investigative actions are being carried out by law enforcement agencies regarding the incident. The tragedy has brought the issue of security in schools back to the forefront as a matter requiring serious review.
