A video has spread on social networks showing the governor of Qo'rg'ontepa instructing the head of the hospital that "the patient should not get medicine from outside." The head of the medical association commented on the situation.
A video showing Qo'rg'ontepa district governor Alisher Khalilov telling the head of the medical association over the phone, "Don't let them get medicine from the street, have everything done here. If they get anything from outside — I will be displeased," has become a center of discussion on social networks.
Reportedly, the governor inspected the hospital at night and spoke with the mother of a two-month-old infant who was being treated. The doctor said the child's low immunity was related to the mother's malnutrition during pregnancy.
The head of the Qo'rg'ontepa district medical association, Yodgorbek Buronov, commented on the situation. According to him, the child had been treated up to that point with medicines provided by the state, and no medicines had been purchased from outside.
To the question, "Do such instructions happen often?" Buronov replied: "No, not often — once or twice a year. If they don't have the means, we help from our side."
This incident has sparked broad discussions about supply issues in medical institutions and the interference of governors.
