Jizzakh — a blemish in the gas supply system
In the city of Jizzakh, the lead specialist of the "Hududgaz Jizzakh" branch demanded $6,000 from a representative of an LLC for "resolving" the issue of not initiating a criminal case regarding the cancellation of a drawn-up certificate and a pre-investigation check. The specialist was caught red-handed while receiving the agreed-upon money in front of the branch building.
Jizzakh region — Head of the Emergency Situations Department
The head of the District Emergency Situations Department was caught while receiving a bribe, first $200 for approving a construction project, and then 6 million soums for a private school project.
Samarkand — a shortfall in a medical association
A case has been initiated regarding a 61 million soum shortfall in a medical association in Urgut district. During the investigation, the assistant to the khokim (governor) is detained while receiving $2,500 after promising to help the suspect. A lawyer involved in receiving the money was also promptly detained.
Tashkent region — a bribe in the "Single Customer Service"
After a 176 million soum shortfall was identified in the construction of a new MTT in Bekabad district, the chief legal consultant demanded $8,400 from the head of an LLC for "resolving the investigation results positively." He was also caught in a prompt operation.
Sirdaryo — two employees of the IIB in Khavas district
Four citizens were forcibly taken regarding a theft at a horticulture LLC, and they were sequentially demanded 55 million soums, 24 million soums, and an additional 11 million soums in exchange for closing the case.
During an operation conducted by employees of the DXX and the prosecutor's office, two employees were caught while receiving 11 million soums.
Tashkent city — chief tax inspector
After an additional 8.7 billion soums in tax was assessed to a textile LLC, the chief inspector took $5,000 to cancel it. However, while returning the money after failing to fulfill the promise, he was caught by the DXX.
Judicial system — a judge of an arbitration court
The judge took $15,000, with $4,100 as an advance, in exchange for sending two citizens to South Korea as seasonal workers. Unable to fulfill the promise, he was caught while returning part of the money.
Tashkent region and Tashkent city — bribery cases related to land sales
Case 1: A group of individuals demanded $7.3 million from an entrepreneur for land allocation and communication permits. During a prompt operation, they were caught while receiving $160,000.
Case 2: The chief legal consultant of the Yashnabod district khokimiyat (administration) demanded $5,000 for not filing an appeal according to a court decision. He was caught while receiving $4,000.
Nurafshon city — assistant to the khokim
He demanded $2,000 from a citizen in exchange for getting them a job at the Ecology Committee. He was caught by the DXX while receiving the money through acquaintances. He had previously been convicted several times.
Criminal cases have been initiated against all officials who committed these crimes, and criminal liability measures have been applied based on the relevant articles.
