On November 21, during a telephone conversation with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, US President Donald Trump gave him until Friday to leave the country with his family. Zamon.uz reported this.

It is reported that the conversation lasted 15 minutes, and Trump rejected most of Maduro's previous proposals. Nevertheless, the US leader agreed to give him a week's opportunity to leave the country safely with his family.

After the specified deadline expires on Friday, November 28, it was announced the next day, Saturday, that Venezuelan airspace was closed.

According to agency sources, Maduro offered Vice President Delcy Rodriguez the opportunity to lead an interim administration during the new election process.

According to CNN, Maduro expressed his readiness to leave his post, but noted that this could not be done immediately and would require a period of 18 months.

The TV channel emphasized that among US officials, there were those who viewed this proposal as a counter-solution. However, the White House maintained a firm position on the Venezuelan leader's immediate resignation.
