Namangan's "Navbahor" club appoints 44-year-old Temur Kapadze as the team's new head coach.
According to the club's press service, the specialist reached a full agreement with the leadership on future goals and plans, and a contract was signed between the parties. Kapadze will start working with the team from today.
For information, "Navbahor" was managed by Sherzod Juraev in the 2025 season, and the team finished the championship in 7th place with 40 points.
During his coaching career, Temur Kapadze has managed the Uzbekistan Olympic team and the "Olympic" club. At the beginning of 2025, he was appointed head coach of the national team after Srečko Katanec resigned due to health problems.
As head coach, Kapadze secured Uzbekistan's first-ever World Cup qualification in history.
After that, the UFA decided to go to the 2026 World Cup with Italian specialist Fabio Cannavaro, and Kapadze remained in the team as an assistant coach. In November, he left the national team with the intention of returning to independent activity.
The specialist received serious interest from the Indonesian national team, and several negotiations were held. However, Kapadze ultimately chose to stay in Uzbekistan and reached an agreement with "Navbahor".
