According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan, a collapse of a soil layer occurred on November 23 at the Aydarkan mine in the city of Sulukta, Batken region. As a result of the collapse, four miners were trapped underground at a depth of approximately 110 meters.

Upon the rescuers' arrival at the scene, oxygen was supplied to the miners through a special tube, after which the debris was cleared step by step. The miners of the Mountain Rescue Service reached the miners at 23:05 and managed to bring them to the surface alive.

According to the Ministry, no one's life was put at risk during the rescue operation. The relevant authorities are conducting an investigation regarding the incident.
