Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced that investments into the United States will be increased from $600 billion to $1 trillion. He stated this during a meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House on November 18.
Trump also reacted positively to the Prince's statement. "600 billion is now going to be a trillion? I like that very much," he said.
According to Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Arabia is expected to sign new agreements with the US in the fields of technology, artificial intelligence, materials, magnetism, and other areas.
For reference, in May, the two countries signed the largest economic package in their history—a collection of deals worth over $600 billion. At that time, the "Axios" publication wrote that Trump wanted to reach a $1 trillion deal with the Gulf states.
