At the Kuksaroy residence, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, who arrived in our country to participate in the Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia. 

The leaders discussed pressing issues of further expanding Uzbekistan-Tajikistan relations of friendship, good neighborliness, strategic partnership and alliance.

Special attention was paid to taking coordinated measures to increase mutual trade and advancing cooperation projects in industry, energy, agriculture and other priority areas.

The importance of continuing active cultural and humanitarian exchanges and effective interregional ties was emphasized.

Views were also exchanged on strengthening regional cooperation in Central Asia.
