In the Tomdi district of the Navoi region, S.R., aged 41, intentionally ran over his ex-wife G.E. and her parents with a truck under his control, killing them.
According to court documents, S.R. married Gulmira in 2008, and they officially divorced in 2021. In December 2024, an order for the forced eviction of S.R. from the homestead was issued, and in March 2025, when MIB officers arrived at the scene to carry out this enforcement action, S.R. attacked them with the truck.
Witnesses in court confirmed that S.R.'s actions were intentional and premeditated. He first hit his ex-wife, then his mother-in-law and father-in-law with the vehicle, running over them and causing severe bodily injuries. He subsequently also attacked with a knife. The victims died as a result of the severe injuries they sustained.
The Tomdi district court found Rustamov guilty under Article 97 (intentional homicide) and Article 219 (resistance against a person performing official or civic duties) of the Criminal Code and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
