A UPS MD-11 cargo plane crashed shortly after takeoff from Muhammad Ali International Airport in Louisville, Kentucky.

The incident may be related to an engine fire, as a fire and black smoke were seen at the crash site.

According to Governor Andy Beshear, at least 7 people were killed and 11 were injured, with the majority in serious condition. The fate of the plane's crew is still unknown.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are investigating the crash of UPS Flight 2976.
