The information circulating on social networks that "starting from October 30, wearing masks in schools will be mandatory" is unfounded.
The First Deputy Chairman of the "Sanepidkomita" (Sanitary-Epidemiological Committee), Nurmat Atabekov, clarified this matter: "The discussion is about the resolution adopted on September 26. These are just the usual recommendations given ahead of the seasonal flu and the peak of acute respiratory infections. The epidemiological situation is currently stable, and it is not mandatory for all students to wear masks in schools."
He also emphasized: if cases of illness are recorded in a class or group, wearing a mask in that location is recommended, but the statement about a "mandatory regime for everyone"
Experts, as always, recommend maintaining social distance, ventilating rooms, and wearing a mask if necessary to protect against diseases transmitted by airborne droplets.
In conclusion, this resolution is a routine preventive document, not a mass restriction.
