The Tashkent City Municipality presented updated plans for the construction of dedicated lane infrastructure for buses in the capital.
According to it, a BRT system will be built on 10 streets, with a total length of approximately 51 kilometers (it was 57.5 km in the previous proposal). The streets of Alisher Navoi and Beruni have been added to the proposal instead of the previously indicated KHAY and Parkent streets.
BRT will be built on the following streets: Shota Rustaveli (5.1 km), Shahrisabz (3.2 km), Amir Temur (5.7 km), Yangi Sergeli (5.3 km), Mahdumquli (1.3 km), Mirzo Ulugbek – Feruza – Yuzrabot (10.4 km), Lutfi and Muqimiy (5.9 km), Nurafshon (3.7 km), Qoratosh – Ko'kcha Darvoza (4 km), and Alisher Navoi – Beruni (6 km).
It is planned to spend 126 million dollars (it was 110 million dollars in the previous proposal) to carry out this work.
