In September of this year, gas and electricity worth 80.5 billion soums were misappropriated in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Uzenergoinspection.
Last month, during control measures carried out by the inspection, 219 cases of illegal use of energy resources by consumers were identified.
"Accordingly, 33.6 million kW/h of electricity (52 billion soums) and 9.4 million cubic meters of natural gas (28.3 billion soums) were misappropriated. According to preliminary calculations, damages amounting to 80 billion 473 million soums were recalculated," stated the ministry's report.
At the same time, 546 administrative cases were officially registered regarding offenses related to consumers' violation of energy resource usage rules.
Relevant documents have been submitted to law enforcement agencies to take measures against the violators in accordance with the established procedure.
