U.S. President Donald Trump has proposed imposing tariffs on all films shot abroad. According to him, these measures are aimed at protecting the Hollywood film industry.
Trump announced on Truth Social his intention to implement a 100 percent tariff on foreign films.
According to CNN, when the decision will take effect is currently unknown. The President aims to reduce the negative impact on film production in California through this measure.
However, experts criticized the initiative. In their opinion, if such a tariff is implemented, the production process could come to a halt.
It was also noted that Trump lacks the legal authority to implement this decision.
