On September 23, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the President of the Republic of Korea, Lee Jae-myung, in New York City on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. The conversation discussed multifaceted cooperation between the two countries and long-term programs.
The meeting highlighted the steady growth of trade indicators and that the volume of Korean investments has exceeded 8 billion dollars. Furthermore, an agreement was reached on joint initiatives in higher and professional educational institutions and on developing a program for technological and industrial partnership.
In addition, issues of regional cooperation in the "Central Asia - Korea" format were reviewed. President Mirziyoyev invited Lee Jae-myung to visit Uzbekistan on a state visit.
