The World Championship among adults organized by the World Boxing organization is continuing intensely in Liverpool, Great Britain. On September 12, all Uzbek boxers who participated in the semi-final bouts secured their tickets to the final.
In the 1/2 final stage of the competition, in the -65 kg weight category, Navbahor Hamidova defeated the representative of Chinese Taipei, Chen Nien-Chin, with a score of 3:2. In the 60 kg weight category, Abdumalik Khalokov defeated Japan's Shunsuke Kitamoto with a score of 5:0.
Furthermore, in the 75 kg weight category, Fazliddin Erkinboev won over Azerbaijan's Saidjamshid Jafarov with a score of 4:1. In the 90 kg weight, To'rabek Habibullaev left Spain's Emanuel Riez Plan behind with a score of 4:1. In the +90 kg weight category, Jahongir Zokirov defeated China's Danabieke Baihekesi with a score of 5:0 and advanced to the final.
The Uzbekistan delegation now has five finalists. Furthermore, six more of our boxers are expected to step into the ring for the semi-final bouts.
