According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, national laws, and the universally recognized principles and norms of international law, the country's citizens are considered to be under state protection, regardless of their location anywhere in the world.
If the rights, freedoms, legal interests, or dignity of citizens are violated abroad, they should first appeal to the competent law enforcement agencies of the host country.
They can also appeal to Uzbekistan's diplomatic missions or consular institutions for legal and consular assistance.
The Ministry emphasized that the protection of citizens abroad is one of the important directions of state policy, and this responsibility stems from the state's constitutional obligations to its own citizens.
