Fraudsters attempting to sell a 50 sotix plot of land for $4 million were arrested in Tashkent.

The fraudsters were caught while trying to sell a land plot that did not belong to them and swindling the entrepreneur out of 200 thousand dollars.

A citizen working as an office manager and realtor for a construction company located in Mirobod district agreed to sell a 50-sotix plot of land to an entrepreneur for 4 million US dollars.

Although the land did not belong to them, they promised to formalize the documents, change the land category, and obtain a permit for the construction of a cottage.

They were caught red-handed receiving $200,000 during a rapid operation conducted by the State Security Service and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes.

Regarding the case, a criminal case was initiated under Part 4 of Article 168 and Part 3 of Article 211 of the Criminal Code, and detention was applied as a preventive measure against the suspects.
