A former security guard at the U.S. Embassy in Oslo, Muhammad O., is suspected of making contact with the diplomatic missions of Russia and Iran and providing classified information.

From March to November 2024, he provided 50 embassy vehicle license plate numbers, the names of 212 staff members, 229 phone numbers, 81 addresses, and security plans.

This information was delivered during meetings held in Norway, Serbia, and Turkey.

In return, he received a total of 20,000 euros—cash from Russia and cryptocurrency from Iran. According to the accused, he was upset by training conducted by the U.S. Embassy and Norwegian security forces against pro-Palestinian activists.

An investigation into him is currently ongoing.
