The Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan has commented on the spreading rumors, confirming that a ban will not be imposed on foreign messengers like WhatsApp and Telegram.

According to information obtained by DW, the national messenger named Aitu will be implemented only for communication and working with digital platforms within state institutions.

It is stated that all civil servants will switch to using Aitu, but this will not affect the general population's use of other messengers in any way.
