Within the framework of the second conference of the working group on cooperation in the field of civil aviation of Central Asia & China (C5+1), negotiations were held between the aviation authorities of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the negotiations, an agreement was reached to increase the number of regular flights between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan.
This step is aimed at developing transport convenience, strengthening business and cultural ties, as well as increasing the tourism appeal of the two countries.
According to the agreements reached, the designated carriers of the two countries are allowed to operate up to 42 flights per week on each of the Almaty–Tashkent and Nur-Sultan–Tashkent routes. On all other routes, up to 7 flights per week are permitted.
If the designated airlines of the parties operate regular flights on all agreed routes between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, the permitted flight frequency will amount to 238 flights per week.
Additionally, the parties agreed to increase the number of designated destinations for operating regular flights between the countries, reports the press service of the Ministry of Transport.
