On Tuesday, July 31, the U.S. Department imposed certain visa restrictions for Palestinians. Although the sanctioned officials were not disclosed, they are accused of obstructing peace negotiations and engaging in terrorism. This was reported by the U.S. publication “Daily Sabah” .
For a long time, the Palestinian government and its representatives have been striving for international recognition of the state by foreign organizations and countries. According to a statement from the State Department, these measures are being implemented within the framework of national security interests.
“Palestinian officials are escalating the conflict to an international level by appealing to international courts and continuing terrorism,” the statement said.
The Palestinian government has expressed strong dissatisfaction with the visa restrictions. In particular, Wassel Abu Youssef, a member of the Executive Committee of the Liberation Organization, has accused the U.S. of complicity in the genocide orchestrated by Israel. According to him, the sanctions are aimed at supporting Israel's aggression and the war against the Palestinian people.
