US President Donald Trump announced on Friday evening that he has instructed Attorney General Pam Bondi to release all classified materials gathered by the grand jury regarding the Jeffrey Epstein case. CBS News reported on this.
Trump described this step as "necessary to put an end to yet another lie by the Democrats."
"Due to the artificially created and unusually high level of noise surrounding Jeffrey Epstein, I have asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to release all relevant grand jury testimonies available under court approval. This deception orchestrated by the Democrats must end immediately!" Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.
A few minutes later, US Attorney General Pam Bondi wrote on her X social media account: "We are prepared to petition the court tomorrow to release the grand jury hearing transcripts."
According to CBS News, the final decision on whether the materials will be released or not will be made by a judge. This process may take some time and is not expected to happen immediately.
Earlier, Trump's supporters had expressed dissatisfaction, accusing the White House of not disclosing all information regarding the "Epstein case."
It should be noted that Jeffrey Epstein was accused of organizing parties involving underage girls for wealthy individuals.
