On July 4 of the current year, at around 9:30 am, in the city of Andijan, citizen D.A. born in 1977, inflicted a wound on his spouse M.D. born in 1982 with a kitchen knife in the neck area during a quarrel that arose in the Orikzor neighborhood of Andijan city, and then fled the scene. The woman died at the site due to the injuries sustained.
As reported, regarding this incident, the Andijan city prosecutor's office has initiated a criminal case under part 1 of Article 97 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and urgent search measures have been taken to arrest the suspect A.D.
During the conducted operations, the suspect A.D. was located and arrested by the officers involved in the night service in the territory of Komakay neighborhood, Altinkul district, Andijan region.
The suspect has currently been taken into custody in accordance with procedural order, and investigative actions are ongoing.
